Hermès Vintage Napoléon Silk Jacquard Scarf in Blue. The "Napoléon" model, designed by renowned artist Philippe Ledoux (creator of many of Hermès' most beloved historical/naval-themed scarves) and first released in 1963.
This is not the standard version, but the rare and precious Silk Jacquard edition. When held up to the light, you can see that the "Napoleonic bees" motif is not only printed in gold, but also woven directly into the silk weft.
At the center is a scene depicting the imperial carriage. On the sides are the iconic French military uniforms of the era, decorated sabers, and the famous bicorne hat at the base. At the corners are four detailed medallions depicting scenes from the Emperor's life and campaigns.
A riot of golden bees (symbol of the Empire) on white jacquard silk, framed by a deep navy blue border.
